ROAD OPENED AGAIN WORK ON STAGING BEGINS Excellent progress is being made in [he construction of the new Narrows bridge, reported the engineer to the Waikato County Council, Mr A. A. Woodward, to the monthly meeting of the council to-day. Both abutments are nearly completed, several pillars have been built and a start has been made on the construction of the staging. A start will shortly be made with the concreting of the arches. The Narrows bridge road, which has been closed for a fortnight was reopened to-day and lraffle can use the old bridge until the new structure is completed in some two months* time.
