POBLIBHER PROSECUTED NEWSPAPER ARTICLE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The publication by the New Zealand Truth of an article urging that a prisoner who had pleaded guilty of a serious offence against a girl should be punished with the “utmost rigour of the law" was the subject of an action in the Supreme Court to-day by the Attorney-General who sought an order of commitment for contempt of court against the publisher, Neil Tonks.

The court, which consisted of the Chief Justice ('Sir Michael Myers), and Mr Justice Reed, reserved its decision.
