APPEAL TO FARMERS
CO-OPERATION NEEDED MINISTER'S PLANS FOR FUTURE A plea for more co-operation with the Government on the part of farmers’ organisations throughout the Dominion was made by Ihe Minister of Agriculture, the Hon/ w. Lee Martin, speaking at Ruakura Farm of Instruction on the occasion of the fieldday yesterday. “We feel that we are entitled to receive more co-operation," said the Minister, "since we are facing problems which vitally affect the whole Dominion. It is desirable, therefore, that them should he closer co-opera-tion in our work for farming.’’ For that reason, he went on. he desired to extend Ihe experiment which had taken Ihe form of the farmers' advisory committee at Ruakura. What he had in mind was that, it might he possible to jget together an advisory commit tee which could do for Die entire department what the farmers’ advisory committee was doing for the investigators at Ruakura.
