SPORTS AT TE AROHA
SUCCESSFUL GATHERING The largest attendance at Herries’ Park for many years was that registered on New Year's Day for the Caledonian Society’s annual sports. Cycling and running events were decided on the upper ground, while the dancing programme was carried out on the lower area. The tracks were in splendid order and keen contests were witnessed during the day. A feature of the afternoon was the grand parade of competitors headed by the Te Aroha Pipe Band.
