HAIR VOGUES

SHOCKING PINK LIPSTICK “Hair is being worn neither up nor down, but all round,” said Mrs N. Warren Waterhouse, of Kirribilli, Australia, who returned from a trip to London and Europe. Mrs Waterhouse said that a new lipstick called shocking pink had been invented by Schiaparelli to match the pink she had used to design some of her loveliest gowns of the season. “This make-up is matched by shocking pink nail polish, and was the very newest note when I left Paris,” she added. Mrs Waterhouse, who travelled with her husband, wore a pair of black suede and patent shoes, featuring the new platform sole, which is also being widely worn abroad. The sole of these shoes is about, one inch thick.
