WAGGON CAPSIZES

MISHAP AT FRANKTON COLLISION WITH LORRY whfn it was involved in a collision with a lorrv at (he Intersection of Norton Roaci, Maeroa Kent Streel. this afternoon a petrol waggon capsized. The driver, Mr lan Alexander Bell, of Norton Road, suffered only Slight abrasions, while the driver of the other vehicle, Mr Frederick Alker, aof Beresford Avenue, Te Rapa, was also slightly injured. Both vehicles were damaged, the cab of the petrol waggon being broken, while one side was badly smashed where it received the impact from Mr Mker's lorry. The latter was severely twisted and had to be removed by a break-down van, which was also commissioned to put the petrol waggon back on the road. It was fortunate that the petrol waggon was empty when the accident occurred.
