DRIVE BY FRANCO AN AMBITIOUS OFFENSIVE THOUSANDS OF PRISONERS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 28 General Franco’s most ambitious offensive is being continued determinedly along a 70-mile front between Tremp and the confluence of the Segre and Ebro Rivers, says a message from Saragossa. The operating force consists of six army corps, commanded by Spanish generals. Prisoners taken in the first three days numbered 7000. The Republicans claim they are holding the centre of the sector.
