WORK RESUMED

LIVERPOOL STATE MINE GREYMOUTH, Thursday Work was resumed in the Liverpool State mine this morning following three days of idleness. The dispute arose over a question of mine safety. The deputies signed the customary declaration on Tuesday that the mine was safe but- it was not accepted by the miners. On Wednesday the deputies refrained from signing the book; consequently the miners could not work. At a conference yesterday afternoon the deputies agreed to sign the book this morning.
