THE DOMINION JUMP
ENTRY FOR ROYAL SHOW FORTY-FOUR COMPETITORS Undoubtedly one of the outstanding attractions at the Royal Show which commences at the Claudelands grounds on Thursday and continues until Saturday will be the Dominion Jumping Competition for which £127 prize-money is being offered. This is the largest amount offered for any event in New Zealand and both the number and strength of the entries this year, show that this fact is appreciated. The forty-four entries constitute a record for the event and represent many of the best show ring performers in the Dominion. The contest is divided into two heats, one to be held on Thursday and one on Friday. Prizes of £lO for first, £7 for second, £5 for third, £3 for fourth and £1 for fifth, will be allotted in each heat and the first five horses in each section will qualify for the grand final on Saturday for which prizes of £4O, first, £2O second, £lO third and £5 fourth are offered.
