The death* roll is 226 and 592 people are injured and 227 missing. Those rendered homeless number 35,000, the storm having washed away 3000 houses. The liner Yamabuki Maru was blown against the Yokohama breakwater and a rescue ship was sent to the scene. The typhoon swept on past Yokohama. where seven passenger liners are overdue, and thence to Tokio northwards early this morning, flooding 10,000 houses, many of which collapsed.
