HITLER’S BRIDE SCHOOL

BEAUTY culture banned CANNON FODDER WANTED (Times Air Mair Service) Schools for brides. That’s Hitler’s latest gift to Germany. The first was opened yesterday, says the special correspondent of the Daily Mirror. But beauty culture is banned. No lipstick. No permanent waves. Just baby-care classes, and needlework. Bachelor Hitler wants them useful. Not beautiful. He wants babies, not glamour. 'Maybe he thinks that way he will get them staying at home—breeding the gun-fodder he needs. Whatever the reasoning behind it, his “ Reichbrauteschule ” has managed to find about 24 best-looking “brautes” in the Reich to give it a send-off. “Hurrah! A real baby,” cried one when she entered the children's room. But she was wrong. It was just a doll—although remarkably lifelike. Just the thing for an “L” mother to practise on for her license. Spinster Teachers When the movement spreads throughout the country no German girl will- be considered free to marry until she lias graduated. For the present, girls wishing to marry* Black or Brown Guards have to have certificates from the Brauteschule. School costs them £lO for the six weeks all-in course —poor girls are subsidised by the Marriage Subsidy funds. Before entering they have to show that they are really engaged.

Now mark you this, in bachelor Hitler’s school all the teachers are spinsters. But. married women who have brought up children are being coopted to give hints to the young brides. The brides-to-be arc taught how to cook and how not. to spend too much, and particularly how to adapt the menu to the requirements of the Four Year Plan.
