MELBOURNE, June 12 Damage amounting lo £28,000 was done by a fire which destroyed two large factories and a block of cottages at Burnley, tbe industrial part of Melbourne, to-day. The fire had been burning for about three hours before it was detected, and when it was at its height the flames covered one and a-half acres. On factory was occupied by tli3 Pearlite Company, Flakers, Limited, the Dixie Flake Food Company and the Standard Company, all makers of groceries. The other was a furniture factory.
