OBITUARY
MRS M. TRISTRAM The death has occurred at her residence, Hamilton East, of Mrs Minnie Tristram, wife of Mr H. E. Tristram, aged 79 years. The late Mrs Tristram was born In Hamilton and was a daughter of the late Mr E. .1. Pearson, one of the Fourth Waikatos, who landed here In 1804. MR NORMAN FINLAVSON (Special to Times) WHAXGAREI, Sunday The death has occurred of Mr Norman Finlayson (79) of Maungaturoto. He was a son of one of the original settlers who came from Nova Scotia to NYaipu early last century As a young man he took up a block of land In the Maungaturoto district, where he had farmed successfully for 50 years. For nearly 30 years Mr Finlayson had been a director of the Maungaturoto Dairy Company and served on various local bodies, and always maintained an active interest in football, lining cither president or patron of the Otamatea Rugby linion for 34 years. He is survived by his wife, eight sons and one daughter. MR F. L. CORDON Special to Times HASTING?. Sunday The death has occurcd of Mr Frank Lindsay Gordon. 0.8. E. 7J . a prominent land-owner and sheep-breeder. Mr Gordon was of the third generation to occupy Clifton, one of the best [known sheep stations in New Zealaud.
