May 10 A body of ten medical specialists •nd two rabbis unanimously reached the decision that the eyes should be removed of a 10-weeks-old baby, Helaine Colan. who Is suffering from a Glioma, a malignant growth attacking the nervous tissues, the progress of which doomed her to death. The only alternative was the removal of her eyes. The parents decided to abide by the decision of the distinguished Jury. An hour after the verdict a noted eye specialist removed the left eye, the tissue of which will be examined microscopically to determine whether Xray treatment would benetlt the right eye or whether it also should be rcmoved. __________
