SHIPS CAPTAIN DEAD
TAKEN ILL AT SEA DEPARTURE OF VESSEL DELAYED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright/ (Received May 11, 11.40 a.m.) SYDNEY. May 11 The steamer Tames Cook has sailed for New Zealand. The vessel's sailing was delayed to enable the crew to attend the funeral of Captain Charles Gregory Turner, master of the James Cook. Captain Turner became seriously 111 while the James Cook was steaming from Melbourne to Sydney on April 30. The vessel put irt to Pambula, on the south coast, where Captain Turner died a week later. He was formerly captain of the Abel
