a t J FAREWELL GARDEN PARTY An enjoyable garden party was given recently by Mrs H. BrunskiU, of Te Akatea, in honour of Mrs Gerald Bull, who will leave shortly on a tour of England and the continent. A presentation was made to Mrs Bull on behalf of the residents of the district, and she was the recipient of two beautiful bouquets presented by Mrs O’Sullivan and Mrs Duck. Competitions were won by Mrs Bull, I Mrs Schmetzer, Mrs J. Thomson and Mrs Batten. The guests were received by Mrs Brunskill assisted by her daughter. Among those present were:—Mesdames Bull, J. KITCHEN EVENING MTSS LEARMONTH. HONOURED . A kitchen evening was held in the Glen Massey Hall recently in honour of Miss Edith Learmonth. Numerous gifts were presented to Miss Learmonth by the residents. The novelty dances were won by Mrs Dodds and Mr A.
