WEDDING

VICARY—SMITH

A wedding of Northern King Country interest, was solemnised at the homestead of Mr and Mrs E. E Smith, of Kinohaku, on the morning of March 23 by the Rev. S. W. Webber, of Otorohanga, when Ida Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. E Smith, of Kinohaku, was married to Gordon William, only son of Mr and Mrs Stanley Vicary, of Marakopa. The bride, who was given away by her father, wora a gown of rich magnolia satin, cut on Grecian lines, her long veil of toning tulle falling from a coronet of orange blossoms She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of chrysanthemums She was attended by her sister. Miss Rona Smith, who wore a henna satin frock trimmed with gold and a gold halo hat. Her bouquet was composed of toning flowers. Norma Smith, younger sister of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a , frock of old gold satin, with a halo cap of old gold. She carried a basket of flowers to tone. Mr Leslie attended the bridegroom as best man. The bride's mother wore a graceful rust coloured frock with hat to tone and she carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. The bridegroom's mother was wearing a smart gown of chocolate brown, with hat and accessories to tone. She carried a posy in autumn shades. The bride travelled in an electric blue frock with hat and matching accessories. After an extensive motoring tour Mr and Mrs G. W. Vicary will make their home in the Marokopa district.
