STOCK ON PARADE

TE AWAMUTU SHOW RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED STRONG CATTLE CLASSES (Special Reporter.) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday Although unpleasant weather conditions marred the 15th annual show of the Te Axvamutu Agricultural, Pastoral and Horticultural Association at Albert Park, to-day, the fixture was one of the most successful yet held. Record entries were forward in most sections and the quality of the stock was well up to Waikato show' standards. Both the draught and light horse sections were partciularly strong, all prominent Waikato exhibitors being represented. Although the ground was heavy, keen jumping was witnessed in the competition classes. There was an entry of 13 in the hunting cup class, which was contested by the best jumpers in the province. Some outstanding cattle were shown in the dairy cattle classes, Jerseys parading in record numbers and being representative of prominent Waikato breeders. The quality was high in the male and female classes, the fudges remarking that the standard would have done credit to a larger fixture. There was also a good exhibition of pedigree Milking Shorthorns. Satisfactory entries were also forward in the sheep and pig sections.
