ANGLICAN CHURCH PRESENTATION TO MEMBER A pleasing gc-erure was made by the Waitoa Anglican Church ladies recently, when the president of the ladies' committee, Mrs J. H. Alarsden, made the presentation on behalf of the church ladies, of a beautiful set of crystal ware to Mrs Burt, Te Aroha, for services rendered to the Waitoa church. Canon Turner also spoke and remarked on the sterling qualities of Airs Burt. Mrs Burt suitably responded. Anniversary Celebrations A large number was present when the Waitoa branch of M.U.1.0.0.F. held its anniversary celebrations in the local hall recently in the form of a dance and card evening. Visitors were present from the surrounding lodges and an enjoyable evening was spent. Music for dancing was provided by Mr J. Knyvett (Ngarua), extras being played by some of the visitors. A novelty dance was won by Mr C. Blomfleld and partner. The winners in the card tournament were Airs A. Seed and partner. At the conclusion of the card tournament .supper was served by the lodge members.
