QUALITY PRAISED

WAIKATO SHOW LAMBS ENGLISH JUDGES' COMMENTS High praise has been given by English judges to the quality of the lambs exhibited at the Waikato Summer Show and recently judged on the hooks in England. Following were the results of the English judging, together with the judges’ comments: — District Groups Class Kio Kio, I.—A group of very choice lambs. Ideal in size and of excellent shape and make. As a whole the carcases were very fleshy, with absence of waste. A splendid exhibit. Te Awamutu, 2.—A collection of choice lambs of first-class quality, but scarcely coming up to the excellence of the first lambs, on account of three carcases which were slightly weak on the loins. A very creditable exhibit. Kereone, 3.—These lambs were of excellent shape and make, and good butchers’ meat from every point of view. The exhibit fell short of the high merit of the first lambs, on account of three lambs which were definitely weak on the inside of the leg. Fletcher Silver Cup W. and R. Fletcher’s Silver Gup class— A. I. Batty. Morrinsville, 1. —Three magnificent lambs; excellent from every point of view. H."
