DOMINION TOURNAMENT FURTHER GAMES PLAYED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Tuesday At the chess congress the game Newtek v. Dunlop, which was adjourned from round 8, was not continued, a draw being agreed upon. The game Lynch v. Lang, which was adjourned from round 9, was resumed, the two being even at the commencement of play, at move 39. After further moves the players agreed to a draw.

The Severne v. Hunter game, unfinished from round 7, was continued, Severne being a pawn up, with two pass pawns, and with a queen and a rook apiece as fighting units. Soon after play commenced Hunter equalised his pawn and later rooks were exchanged. At more 37 Severne again had a pawn but Hunter had a dangerous pass pawn on the fifth rank. The game was again adjourned at move 64 with Severne a pawn up with queens on the board. Kelling v. Erskfne. an adjourned game, was continued, the material being pven at the 42nd. move. Kelling. playing sound chess, had won two pawns from his opponent by the 52nd. move and at move 60 Erskine resigned owing to a threatened mate.

The Lang v. McDermid game, adjourned from the 6th. round, was also continued. Before the adjournment Lang had developed a strong attack on McDermid’s king's side and the materia? was even. At move 47 McDermid won a pawn and was then in an advantageous position. The game was again adjourned at the 54th. move.
