BIBLE CLASS RALLY

GATHERING AT ROTOTUNA YESTERDAY'S SERVICES Approximately 150 young people gathered at the Rototuna Church yesterday for the annual Presbyterian Bible Class Labour Day rally. The speakers were the Revs. G. Budd, and W. R. Milne, of Auckland, and the organist was Miss May Thompson. In the morning service Mr Budd gave a comprehensive survey of the home mission work of the church, and stressed the need for service and loyalty from every Bible Class member, while Mr Milne in the afternoon spoke on the “Fellowship of Life.” Solos were given by Miss Lucy Fletcher, of Ivnox Church, Hamilton East, and Mr Williamson, of Auckland. At the close of the day the Rev. H. J. Lilburn, of Hamilton East, also spoke. Owing to rain the outdoor sports programme had to be abandoned, but indoor team contests were held. These were won by Knox Church (young men) and St. Andrew’s (young women).
