FARM MANAGER SENTENCED. PRESENT TERM NOT EXTENDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association ) PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. Found guilty on a charge of common assault, Hector James McDonald, farm manager, was ordered by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, to •ome up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. Acoused is at present serving a sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment imposed at Chrlstchuroh on July 1. Acoused was charged here with indecent assault on a female. It was alleged that he kissed her when interviewing her regarding employment. The jury found him guilty of common assault only.
