MAN’S LEG BROKEN.

KNOCKED DOWN BY OAR. VICTORIA STREET MISHAP. A fractured leg and head iojurles were received by Mr George Krlppner (34), of Te Rore, at about 11 o’clock last evening when he was struck by a car driven by Mr W. A. Douglas, of Hamilton, while crossing Victoria Street near the Hamilton Library. It appears that Mr Krippner stepped out from the line of traffic proceeding In a southerly direction and directly in front of Mr Douglas’ car, being struck by the right side of the vehicle. The Injured man was taken to the Waikato Hospital In a St. John ambulance. His condition to-day is satisfactory.
