Algar, aged 22, with the idea of cycling with two companions io Australia. His companions are Messrs W. Barber, aged 22, and L. Cross, aged 25. Algar, who is an engineer, has spent four years in the Army in India and worked his way to South America as a deckhand, lie has spent months in organising the trip. lie expects the party's real difficulties to begin in Burma. They will follow the railway track from‘.Mandalay south, but much of the journey will be through jungle, infested with wild animals. Algar has been promised a job on his arrival in Brisbane. Each man starts with £io and they expect the journey to occupy 18 months. ' V
