KITCHEN EVENING.

MIBB N. JOHANBEN HONOURED. The popularity of Miss Neill® Johansen and Mr Harry Preston, of Waltoa. was fully evidenced on the occasion of a kitchen evening tendered recently by their many friends Jn the Walhou Hall. The greater part of the evening was spent in dancing to music played by Mrs Crowe (piano) and Mr W. Crowe (violin), appreciated extras being played by Miss Schlenars. Following the supper adjournment. Mr J. Landman addressed the gue®t« of the evening, and presented them with the many gifts. Musical honours were aocorded. and Mr Prestos briefly responded on behalf of Mist Johansen and himself. A very happy evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.'*
