DELIGHTFUL EVENING.
HAPPY WEDDING DANCE. Mr and Mrs H. Coston. of Te Kowhal, tendered the district a very happy social on the occasion of the wedding of their daughter Mary. Euchre, dancing and vocal Items passed a very pleasant evening. The music for the dancing was played by Mr Joe Battersby’s Orchestra, and extras by the Misses Pullman. Solos were given by Miss Dulcie Evans and Miss Connie MacLachlan, and a duet by Miss Evans and Mr Battersby was greatly enjoyed. Elocution was given by Mr Thompson. A novelty dance was won by Mr Les Pollock and partner, Mrs H. Nicol. Mr L. Robinson was M.C. The euchre resulted: Ladies, Mrs Taylor 6i games; men, Mr Les Pollock 8* games. A delicious supper was served during the evening. Mr C. A. Magner tendered thanks to the host and hostess for a very pleasant evening.
