SURPRISE PARTY. The many friends of Mr and Mrs Lionel Chamberlain, of Halrinl, assembled at their home on Saturday evening to celebrate their silver wedding. The rooms had been most attractively decorated with chrysanthemums and autumn-tinted leaves. During the evening Dr. Blundell took the opportunity of presenting a silver .entree dish to Mr and Mrs Chamberlain, Mr Chamberlain suitably replying. Mrs Chamberlain was wearing - a frock of black velvet. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. Blundell, J. O’Sullivan, J. Oliphant. H. De Lacy Peake (Takapuna), J. Muir, W. Jeffery, L. Sker■man, M.
