ENJOYABLE PARTY.
MRS. WOOLDRIDGE FAREWELLED. Mrs F. R. Wooldridge, who will leave Cambridge shortly to reside In Wellington, was the guest of honour at an afternoon party held at the home of Mrs W. J. Smellie, who was assisted as hostess by Mrs Edgar James. Competitions and an enjoyable programme of musical Items were arranged during the afternoon.
Bowls of Iceland poppies arranged with autumn foliage and scarlet berries lent a gay note to the rooms. Mrs Smellie was wearing a frock of daffodil oloque with cigar brown relief, and Mrs James wore a frock of brown and beige ootelle. Mrs Wooldridge wore an ensemble of smokeblue afghalalne. Among those present were:—Mesdames L. Mahoney, E. J. F. Kennedy, W. Munroe, Boston Couper, F. Ray, A. Sw'ayne, W. Rush, D. Brown, P. Wild, Jasper Smith. Misses Joan Couper, Grace Cam-eron-Johnson, E. Jackson.
