STOCK SALE.

TE AWAMUTU QUOTATIONS. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at Te Awainutu yesterday, a large number of dairy cattle met with good competition throughout. The advertised herd of cows on account of Mr W. lloldcroft, of Ngahinapourl, came forward in good saleable condition and sold readily from £8 to £lO for early calvers, others, £6 to £7 JOs; more backward, £4 to £5. On account of of Mrs F. S. Porteous, a small herd of 2 6 cows from Kinohaku made from £3 to £6 10s. On account of Mr R. McGowan, young cows made £8 5s to £l3. On account of various clients young Jersey cows close to profit brought £7 15s to £9 ss; other dairy cows, £4 10s to £7 15s; dairy heifers. £5 15s to £7 10s. There was a fair yarding of fat pigs and a good yarding of stores, weaners and breeding sows. Fat pigs sold well at late rates and stores and weaners showed a sharp rise on late quotations. Breeding sows also sold well at late rates. Prime lambs made 27s lid, forward conditioned 23s Bd, plain fat wethers 30s. Beef: Prime light weight fat steers. £lO 16s to £11; light, £6 17s; prime fat heifers, £7 16s; heavy fat Shorthorn cows, £7 16s to £8 16s; Jersey fat cows, £5 15s to £6 15*; unsound, £4 to £4 15s; heavy boner cows, £3 15s to £3 17s Gd; lighter, £3 to £3 10s. Pigs: Heavy baconers, £3 6s to £3 15s: heavy porkers, £2 4s to £2 8s; medium. £2 to £2 2s; light. £1 11s to £1 15s; small and unfinished. 25s to 295; large stores, 26s to 29s 6d; medium, 23s to 255; slips, 17s to 19s; good weaners, 9s to 11s 0d; young breeding sows, £3 15s to £»: other breeding sows, £2 12s to £3 ss.
