A PERILOUS JOURNEY. TlllP iN SMALL DiNGIIY. (Special to Times). _ TAURANGA, Friday. When a launch party, including Mr Percy Stone, of \Vath. and six others. made their way from Tanner‘s Point to Tauranga recently, the petrol gave out about a mile from The Mount. which marks the entrance to Tauranga Harbour. The anchor was dropped and Mr Stone. with a petrol tin, lowered himself into a corkle—sheit dinghy shout. six feet six inches in length and prepared to row across the waters to The Mount, where he hoped to replenish his supply or petrol. \\'ith a westerly wind blowing the task was facilitated to a large degree alihough an outgoing tide was running, The rower was lost to view as he neared the rocky shore of The‘ Mountl ‘ in the meantime the westerly wind had risen to mile force and the launch commenced in toss and pitch uncomfortahly and the om‘upants became anxious courorninx Mr Stone‘s safety.
