LATE PERSONAL.
Senior-Detective S. G. Hall, Auckland. has been appointed chief-detec-tive in charge of the detective staff in Auckland, in succession to Inspector J. Sweeney, who was fnrewelled Inst night and will leave this morning lo lake charge of tlie Wellington police district. Chief-Detective Mall joined the force in Dunedin in 1908, and was appointed senior detective in 1933, when he was transferred from Oumaru.
