WEDDING.

GIBSON—PARKER. The marriage was solemnised in the Catholic Church, Te Awamutu, on the afternoon of September 12, between Mavis Emily Lillian, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Charles Parker, of Hairini, and John Bernard Gibson, of Te Awamutu. The Rev. Father O’Flynn, of Te Awamutu, performed the ceremony.

The bride, who entered the churcl with Mr R. Crozier, wore a lovely gowi. of ivory satin charmeuse and wax lace with a graceful veil of silk net falling from a halo of orange blossom and carried a sheaf of lilies.

Mrs R. F. Crozier was the matron of honour and wore a frock of tomato chiffon velvet and silver lace with a J hat of tomato coloured velvet with j eye veil of the same shade. She carried a bouquet in the form of a muff made from natural flowers. Little Geraldine Crozier (niece of ! the bride) was the flower-girl and • wore a frock of pale green chiffon i velvet with Dolly Varden bonnet of the same material. She carried a basket of cream roses. 'Barry Wilson (cousin of the ‘bride) was the pagei boy and wore a suit of pale green and 'ivory chiffon velvet relieved with j silver. j Mr J. Sealey was the best man. J After the ceremony a reception was ' held at the home of Mrs A. E. Wilson, of Te Awamutu, where the rooms looked delightful with flowers in ' shades of pale lemon and pink, and ferns. The bride’s mother was wearing an angora woollen suit in brown tonings with accessories to match and I carried a bouquet of cyclamen coloured stock. When Mr and Mrs J. B. Gibson left by car for the honeymoon the bridetravelled wearing a suit of navy blue relieved with white with accessories to tone.

They will make their home in Te Awamutu.
