FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

MEETING OF DRUIDS. PRIDE OF HAMILTON LODGE. At the fortnightly meeting of the Pride of Hamilton Lodge or Druids there was a good attendance of members and the routine business was despatched quickly. Several .candidates were proposed for initiation, and visitors welcomed. A social function in the form of “ Ladies’ Night ” was started in the larger hall, and the seating accomodation was insufficient for the large number present, which included Druids from other Ledges. The music for dancing was supf plied by Mr Whitehead's Orchestra, " and the duties of M.C. were carried out by Bros. A. Cowley and E. Wallace. Entertaining Items were contributed by the Hamilton Mouth Organ Band under the leadership of Mr J. Kil'burn, and vocal accompaniment by Mr Dawson. Mr •Challiner mystified the audience with magic, and a tap dance by Miss Walsh was much appreciated. Songs were given by Mr •Liddy and Bro. A. Spier, of Ngaruawahia Lodge. The supper Arrangements were In the hands of the ladies of the social committee ami the evening was brought to a olose after midnight with the National Anthem.
