NEW SCHOOL OPENED.
FUNCTION AT TE AROHA. HON. A. BURNS OFFICIATES. (Times Representative.) TE AROHA, Monday. Although rain threatened this mornning, fine weather predominated when, with the band playing and flags flying, the new Te Aroha secondary school was officially opened this afternoon by the Hon. A. Burns, M.L.C., of the Auckland Education Board. Other speakers included Mr J. E. Wild, chairman of the school committee, Messrs R. Coulter, M.P. for Waikato, and C. H. Burnett, M.P. for Tauranga, W. C. Kennedy, chairman of the Piako County Council, H. L. Thornton. of the Chamber of Commerce, and C. E. Macmillan, former M.P. for Tauranga. Mr A. N. Macky, of the Auckland Education Board, was also present.
