SUCCESSFUL HUNT.

Appreciation of the co-operation o! the farmers in the district in permitting their farms to be thrown open to the hunt was voiced by Mr Wynn Brown. Master of the Hunt, at a breakfast tendered by the \\‘ai—kato Hunt to farmers in the Eureka Hall, on Saturday, at which there was a large attendance of followers and friends, among those present being the Minister of Agriculture. the Hon. \\'. Lee Martin and Mrs Martin. Mr Wynn Brown in welcoming the visitors remarked that the success of hunting depended on the goodwill ot the farmers and it was gratifying to be in a position to say that in the Waikato farmers generally made the members of the hunt welcome. The huntsmen. on the other hand. observed the rules or the game and tried to do nothing that would injure the interests of the farmers over whose property they hunted. Hunting had been carried on in the \\'aikato for over 50 years and with the encouragement by the farmers there was no reason why it should not he continued indefinitely. Mr Lee Martin and Mr H. Robinson replied on behalf of the visitors. Over sixty riders participated in the hunt and a large number followed the fortunes of the hunt from motor-cars Among the horses qualifying were J.
