SALARY SHARING.

DETAILB OF LABOUR PLAN. PREMIER RECEIVES £7OO LESS. INCREASE OF £IOO TO MEMBERS. (By Telegram.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Some details of the Labour Party salary-sharing scheme were announced to-day by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, who said no additional cost would be placed on the Government. The actual sum at present provided on the Civil List, for the 54 Labour members and Ministers attached to the Government would be shared, every member participating. The Prime Minister and other Ministers would take certain shares, the remaining members receiving a slightly lesser amount. The Prime Minister would receive a special allowance of £250 per annum for hospitality and entertainment purposes. The private Incomes of members' would be taken Into account. Mr- Nash said that the readjustment meant that the Prime Minister actually would receive £7OO less than the sum provided on the Civil List and other Ministers from £4OO to £SOO per annum less. The incomes of ordinary members would he increased by slightly more than £IOO per annum. The scheme operates from April l.
