HAMILTON GIRL.
SUCCESS ON STAGE. The Fragonard type of beauty which is Miss Elaine Hamill’s (says a Melbourne paper), lendsi itself exquisitely to the roles she plays in the Williamson season of drama. This Hamilton girl is the most-talked of actress in Australia at the present time on account of her meteoric rise to stardom from the repertory and film ranks. Critics describe the New Zealander as a rare And, and in a series of plays in the Australian Theatre centres she has secured for herself recognition as an actress of charm and personality. Miss Kami 11 and her company will play "The Shining Hour" in New Zealand at Easter. The New Zealand girl, as Mariella Linden, is said to rise to great heights of emotional intensity in a play that is set in a Yorkshire farmhouse. To this placid home comes an exotic outsider, the wife of one of the brothers, a glamorous and seductive woman who excites a hidden store of emotion. The repertoire will also include Ivor Novello’s amusing comedy "Fresh Fields” and “Night must Fall,” the work of Emlyn Williams.
