FAREWELL AFTERNOON.

FOR PLUNKET NURSE. Members of the Cambridge Plunket Society and their friends farewelled the Plunket nurse, Miss D. Cliff, who will leave at the end of next week for England, in the Town Hall supper room, Cambridge, recently. During the afternoon solos were given by Mrs F. R. Wooldridge, Mrs V. Hollis and Miss Maude Giles. Little Marie Waddle presented Nurse CliTf with a posy. The president, Mrs M. A. Bell, on behalf of the members, asked the guest of honour to accept a leather travelling cushion. Nurse Cliff, thanked everyone for their kindly help and co-operation in I the past, especially thanking the secretary of the committee, Miss F. F). Hooker, for all the assistance she had given during her period in the district. Afternoon tea was served later by the committee. Deep red and bright red dahlias were most effectively arranged on the long white table. Nurse Cliff wore a navy blue dull finished crepe frock designed in gold and a large navy and gold straw hat.
