TROTTING CUP.

SEVENTEEN NOMINATIONS. HAROLD 'LOGAN NOT ENTERED. With the exception of Harold Logan, practically all the horses available have been nominated for the New Zealand Cup, of £ISOO and gold cup valued at £IOO, limit 4.27, two miles, to he run at Addington on November 12, and besides those trained in Canterbury there are outside representatives in Worthy Light and Impromptu from Auckland, Satin King from Southland and Evlous from Australia. Previous winners of the race nominated include Wrackler, Red Shadow and 'lndianapolis. Seventeen horses have been nominated, as against 14 last year.

An entry of interest is that of the unhoppled trotter Tramp fast. The last trotter to win was Reta Peter, who was successful in 1920‘and 1921.

The response from owners justifies the action of the Metropolitan Trotting Club in extending the limit of the race from 4.26 to 4.27. The early favourites are Indianapolis, War Buoy and Worthy Light, but a high opinion is held of the Australian gelding E virus.

The nominations are as follows: Roi '//Or, Evicus, War Buoy, Indianapolis, Tempest, Blue Mountain, Silver De Oro, Wild Guy, Trampfast, Glenrossie, Worthy Light, Sunny Morn, Impromptu, 'Red Shadow', Sir Guy, Wrackler, Satin King.
