CHATEAU INCIDENT.
COMMENT BY MINIBTER, REPORT GREATLY EXAGGERATED. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. “ Greatly exaggerated " is the description applied by the Minister in charge of the tourist Department, Hon. A. Hamilton, to the recent episode at [he Chateau Tongariro, National Park, in which the'manager of the Chateau, Mr R. Gobhc, was seriously injured. ’Pile matter was the subject of a question in the House of Representatives by Mr F. Mr Cobbe, who was admitted to the Taumarunui Hospital on September 9, suffering from concussion and head injuries, was removed from the hospital to a Taumarunui hotel on Monday. He will be confined to his bed for a considerable time, and a nurse will be in constant attendance. Mrs Cobbe stated last night that her husband was making very slow but satisfactory progress, but was not able to see any visitors. It was unlikely that he would be able to resume his duties at the Chateau until about Christmas.
