CONVERSION OF CARS
ALMOST A MOTOR BANDIT. SEVERAL CHARGES ADMITTED. TWELVE MONTHS’ DETENTION. (By Telegraph. —press Association.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. John Henry Wilson (23), described recently by the Magistrate as practically a motor bandit, admitted further charges to-day of converting cars at Napier, Otane and Dannevirke, stealing petrol at Pukehou, and breaking into a house at Wailotara and stealing goods worth £3S. He was sentenced to twelve months reformative treatment, additonal to the term he is at present serving. He did not plead to the last charge, on which he was remanded to Wanganui.
•f Last week in.the Supreme Court at Hamilton, Wilson, who was found guiltv of receiving stolen goods from the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company's store at Oliaupo, was sentenced to two year's hard labour by Mr Justice Calla'n. Wilson's companion, Leslie. Jack Davis, who was found guilty of breaking, entering and theft and receiving was sentenced to three jeais hard labour by Mr Justice Calluu.
