DEATH OF OLD MEN.

WEST COAST INQUESTS. (By Telcgrnnh,—Prose VssnrlaMon.) GREYMOUTH. Tuesday. An inquest was held by the coroner, Mr Morgan, yesterday, into the death of Charles Tate, aged 70, of Madras Street, Christchurch, who was found dead in the bush near Otira. A verdict, was returned that death was due to pneumonia, hastened by a weak heart and exposure to Die cold. At an inquest on William Mahoney, aged G 3, a verdict was returned that, death was due to injuries received when he fell from Die. steps leading to his hut at Rewanui on July 22.
