LUCKY ESCAPE.

SEDAN CAR OVERTURNS. SIX SCHOOLBOYS UNHURT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. Six schoolboys had a miraculous escape from serious injury, and even death, late yesterday afternoon when a saloon car driven by Wynn Davies, a pupil of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School turned over on the main road, the hood collapsing. Of the six occupants three are from the Auckland Grammar School, and are taking part in the Quadrangular Rugby tournament. They were returning from Nortn Egmont when the car developed a wheel wobble as it reached the crest of a hill. The driver completely lost control and the car crossed the road twice and struck,a severe hump. It leapt ■ into the air and burned over, landing flat on the hood which was totally demolished. All of the six occupants suffered severely from shock, but only one received minor abrasions.
