LAWN TENNIS.
THE IYIANAWARU CLUB. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The president, Mr J. C. Downey, presided at the annual meeting of members or tno Manawaru Tennis Club. The balancesheet showed a gratifying credit balance. After a discussion on the matter or further improvemoivts being effected. It was deckled to put down another hard court. Tho following olllcers were elected for tho ensuing year: President, Mr J. C. Downey; vice-presidents, Messrs AY. Hughes, A. Hirst and 11. Poots; secretary, Mr W. Carmichael; club captain, Mr J. Calvert; vice-captain, Mrs Marshall; committee, Messrs K. Hughes, W. Sheehan, L. burgess, j. Calvert, Mrs Marshall, MisseS 1, Osborne and D. Farmer.
