A young Zulu woman is appealing to it against the decision of the chief of her tribe, who lias lined her “ one beast or £5.” She was engaged to the chief’s son and, when he jilted her, she entered his kraal at noon, bathed in a clay pot and then smashed the pot. The chief found her. guilty of defiling the kraal by “ bespattering it with water which had come into contact with her body."
