SUCCESSFUL CONCERT,

S.P.O.A. FUNDS BENEFIT. A very successful concert, in aid of the Waikato Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals funds, was given in St. Peier’s Hall. In spite of the inclement. weather there was a good attendance. The. chairman (Mr J. R. Fow) gave an interesting talk on the aims and'objects of the 5.P.0.A., which tie said was doing good work in the Waikato hut, which was hampered through lack of funds. The following programme was presented: Songs by Mrs Money, Mrs Edmonds, Miss M. Trelonr, Mr .). R. MeCrendy; humorous songs by Mr H. Absolurn; recitations by Misses G. simcoi-K, ncxn Anderson, Joan Laurfenson, jNoreen Bartrum. Nola Davidson; song-a nd tap dance, Miss Joan Laurenson? dances by Misses Marie Goldshrough, Shirley Collins, Nola Davidson and Keith Goldsbrongh; acrobatic performances bv Lola Simmons, Miss Thorpe and Master Thorpe.
