General Werner von Blomberg, Minister of Defence, has issued a decree that the Reichswehr cannot be granted leave to attend special religious exercises owing to the shortness of the period of training due lo conscription. ATTACKS ON AUSTRIA. RETALIATORY ACTION TAKEN. (Times Cable.) LONDON, Aug. 17. The Vienna correspondent or the Times states that Prince Starhemberg, Vice-President, has ordered all sporting relationships with Germany to be broken off. In oilier words no Austrian will be allowed to compete in any sporting event in Germany or against German opponents.
