CAMBRIDGE WOMAN’S DEATH. HEART FAILURE THE ’CAUSE. A verdict'ln accordance with the medical evidence that deceased died from heart failure in a vomiting fit caused by a tumor on the brain was returned by the Coroner, Mr F. W. Platts at the inquest to-day into the circumstances surrounding ’the death of Mrs Dora Meredith, aged 28 years, of Cambridge. Evidence was given by Mr John Meredith, husband of deceased, that his wife had been in Indifferent health for some time and was subject to vomiting fits. ’On Thursday morning as he was going to work at about 7 a.m. he asked his mother, who was living next door, to go over and see his wife as soon as she could, as his wife had spent a bad night. Mrs Martha Meredith, mother of the previous witness, said that she went over to her son’s house at about 7.45 a.m. yesterday. Mrs Meredith, junior, was lying in bed and as she did not move she rang for Dr. Tod. Dr H. C. Tod, of Cambridge, deposed that he had been attending deceased off and on since last February. In May she gave birth to a premature child and had never really been well. When he arrived at the house yesterday morning he found her dead in her bed. He did not think that she was likely to die suddenly and did not feel inclined to give a certificate.,, The results of a post mortem examination were given by Ur A. G. Waddell who stated that deceased was a thin, pale, emaciated xvoman. There were definite signs of kidney disease while a fair-sized tumdr was found on the' brain. The tumor was well in the front of the brain and there were no physical signs of its presence. It was his opinion that deceased died from heart failure while in, a severe vomiting fit caused by the tumor on the brain.
