A Dutoh Air Mall plane crashed while taking off for Baghdad and was completely burned, all mails being destroyed. Seven passengers and the crew of four escaped with only slight Injuries.

T,he Telegraph’s Hague correspondent states that immediately the news was received the airman J. D. Parmentier departed in another Douglas machine to pick up the stranded passengers, who include two Britons, two women, and a six-months-old baby.

While demonstrating competition machines to other nations in connection with the Belgian air expansion plan, the new crack British lighter aeroplane Fairey Fantome nose-dived at the military aerodrome and Lieutenant Trower was fatally injured.
